Problem- Does bacteria rise from the broth?
Hypothesis- If you allow air but stop the molecules, then no microbes will grow
Experiment- He boiled broth, made a swan neck flask and used it on one container but not on the other container, the swan neck flask allowed air to get in but stopped the molecules from getting into the broth, microbes only grew in the container that didn't have the swan neck flask
Conclusion- Microbes come dust, molecules and other outside sources

By using the swan neck flask it trapped all of the molecules in the curve of the flask, which made it impossible for the microbes to get in the broth but making it possible for air to get in. When he didn't use the swan neck flask, microbes were allowed to float straight down into the container and make microbes/bacteria grow.
